Pick Me. Don’t Pick Me. Your Call.
Improv Asylum is famously interactive. For some people, getting pulled into the show is the dream. For others, it is the precise reason they’ve been putting off buying tickets.
Good news: we have options.
THE VOLUNTEER SPOT
Put Me
In The Show.
Want to put yourself or someone in your group right in the middle of the action?
Each show has one Volunteer Spot. Our cast brings that guest onstage, gets to know them a little, and uses their life as inspiration for a completely improvised part of the show.
Birthdays. Bachelorettes. Bachelor parties. Celebrations. Or one extremely trusting friend.
RESERVE THE VOLUNTEER SPOTVolunteer Spot reservations are separate from admission. Everyone attending still needs a ticket to the show.
THE $5 "DOWNGRADE"
Please Leave
Me Alone.
Love comedy? Hate the possibility that six professional improvisers might suddenly become extremely interested in you?
For $5, we’ll leave you alone. No getting brought onstage. No individual interview. No getting singled out. And no seats in the first two rows.
Same show. Good seat. Zero chance of becoming part of the show.
The Funniest Show You’ll Ever Be A Part Of. Or Not.
Audience participation is part of Improv Asylum. We take suggestions. We talk to people. We bring guests onstage. It’s one of the reasons every performance is different.
But there’s a pretty significant difference between yelling out “dentist!” from Row 6 and suddenly discovering that you are now the show.
So whether you’re hoping for your moment in the spotlight or would prefer the spotlight remain several hundred feet away from you at all times, we’ve got you covered.
Before You
Volunteer Yourself.
Or Hide.
Does the Volunteer Spot include my ticket to the show?
Nope. The Volunteer Spot is a separate add-on. You’ll still need to purchase show tickets for everyone attending.
Can I reserve the Volunteer Spot for someone else?
Yes. You can reserve the spot for someone in your group. Just make sure you have the name of the person you’re volunteering when you make the reservation.
What if the Volunteer Spot for my show is already taken?
There’s only one Volunteer Spot available for a performance. If yours is already booked, email admin@improvasylum.com to ask about the waitlist.
What exactly does the Don’t Pick Me "Downgrade" guarantee?
We won’t bring you onstage, interview you individually, single you out to participate in the show, or seat you in the first two rows.
You still get a good seat. We just agree not to make you regret leaving the house.
How do I buy the Don’t Pick Me "Downgrade"?
Ask an Improv Asylum staff member before your performance. The Downgrade is $5.
